Why do so many people like Pink Floyd? I don't have any grudge against them, but I don't really like their music.

I dig Floyd but only the Roger Waters era. Try kicking back, relaxing and listening to Wish You Were Here all the way through. If you are into mind-altering substances (and I'm not encouraging or condoning their usage) indulge in your favorite before playing music.

Hey, Philp, isn't "it's" also used to refer to possessive things (ie, "I took out it's shelves, now it's defenseless"), as well as a contraction? If so, then when does one use "its"?

That would actually be "I took out its shelves, now it's defenseless.

"Its" is possessive, "it's" is a contraction.

They really don't teach this in school anymore?

My teachers teach a little bit of grammar (It's sad that most people can't spell that). These guys just don't apply it.

this year's teacher teaches this shit but the earlier teachers didnt.
