I read somewhere that they're working on a search engine to go through all of bittorrent - I think it'll be web based, kind of like google is, and it will be supported by advertising. That'll be awesome, because we won't have to search halfway across the 'net to find a freakin' album.

... must be an unpopular album.... and if thats the case you wont get any speeds better than any other P2P type software.

default configuration with ABC states that you only need to upload what you have of a torrent until its done, then its 30 minutes more and no one will be downloading that from you.

if a torrent is not popular, there will be no one to download from, and anyone who did download that torrent only provide a small window of opportunity for you to download from them. (duration of their download + 30 minutes) all thats left are the few seeds, but if its that unpopular its probably one seed, and its probably full of more popular torrents to bother with high speeds for you.

if you have a hard time finding something on bittorrent, thats saying something: use another P2P.

Yeah, sign up for the AMG Newsletter, or start reading Pitchfork, Sick Among The Pure, or related zines, and tell me you can find all the albums you only wish you could hear. ;)

True, true. Problem is, I can't seem to get direct connect working all too well on my linux-running system. If I do get something to work, it's so hard to navigate that I just give up - currently I'm using SoulSeek, which is kind of ideal for indie/emo.
