For a second, I was about to type out 1,063,900 bits, but that's a lot to count.

I am waiting for Verizon's Fios. There fiber optic service. As soon as it is available around here.
That package will start at 5mbps down and 2mbps up for $34.95/month

Have you noticed in the past 3-6 months, bandwidth prices have lowered so much?

That's why dial up is dead now I guess. Why pay 25 a month for A.O.Hell, when you can pay 30 for at least a 1/256 connection.

im sorry, in my area, comcast has monopoly. sure theres DSL but who the fuck likes them? ^^ and for DSL, theres an SBC Yahoo monopoly.

they may provide a 3/384 (used to tie with comcast) for $20 less but no one changes to them :]

anyway i dont consider $55/month comcast is charging cheap

Most def the 15/2 for 49.95 is the better deal. You get 10 more mbps down for only another 10 dollars, why not take it? That last package is nuts, 30/5... *Drools*. But why is it so overpriced?? It should only cost 3 times what the middle one does because your only getting 3 times the product. Even at 200 dollars a month, its right up there to a T3 line (except for the symetrical upload) and its probably WAY cheaper.

It is WAY cheaper, its about 9,800$ cheaper, without having to pay for the local loop which is another 2-4K. Screw that, this Verison Fios is the way to go for mad speeds.... it might not be a 45Mbps but its close enough.
