...I don't know about DC current eh? Hold a 9v battery up to your tongue for 3 seconds. Now, that could kill an ant. Maybe not shock it to death, but sure, it would kill it. And I also said that you could add more voltage.

If your talking about AC current.. yes it will shock them to death.

Dude, your skin has a very high resistance. Yeha, sure, you're probably thinking "Exactly, so it isn't going to kill an ant." or something along those lines. If you don't believe that it will work, try it.

Why would AC have a different effect than DC current would? The amount and kind of injury depends on six things - voltage, amperage,
resistance, type of current, path of current, and duration of exposure. The voltage would be the same (unless you are saying use AC current from the wall), amperage would be the same, since the voltage and resistance are the same. (Ohms law: E = I/R) The path would be the same. The only variable would be duration, which has no effect on weather AC or DC current would be best.

The ant would complete the circuit, and because of the electricity flowing through it, it would at least get hurt enough where it would stay the fuck back. I've made one of these. When an ant gets on it, it just kinda shakes for a second, and falls off, usually on the verge of dying in a short amount of time.

Damn right. Oh, and you can add more batteries to increase the amperage if you wish. Just don't place them in parallel, you won't get as much of an increase, and then you have the possibility of a short.

Why do that?

The only reason I could see doing that is to save the battery.. and the success rate of doing that is not alot.
