For computers, buying cheaply and often will only leave you constantly in a world of shit.
of course you dont. -_-
*sigh*
Part 1:
the Opteron 165 is a highly popular dual core processor usually capable of over 2.8GHz OCs, it has the same specs as an FX-57 which also runs at 2.8GHz, but this one is a dual core. so you virtually have two FX-57s when OCed to 2.8GHz+.
the FX-57 is $1011 on newegg
the 165 is $355 on newegg
very popular, very good deal
Part 2:
this is an Integrated Heat Spreader, aka IHS. it is just a piece of metal.
this is a typical A64 CPU with the IHS taken off. it is the actual CPU.
Part 3:
the auction description clearly states the following:
"You are bidding on an AMD Opteron 165 Integrated Heat Spreader. It was pulled from an dual core processor I purchased at NewEgg a couple weeks ago."
it means you are bidding for the piece of metal.
Part 4:
the auction ended with a winning bid of US $283.00.
*sigh*

the FX-60 chip is dual core (dual FX-55s), all previous FX chips are single.
not all Opterons are dual core, the Opteron 144, 146 and 148 for example, are single core processors.
to say all of the chips for either series are dual core is illogical, both series existed before dual core chips were released.

Thats not that funny BTW...
I've seen someone buy and xbox360 EMAIL account for over the price of the retail xbox360.
I think it was like 630$ for an xbox360@yahoo.com email addy

I've seen back before Ebay was secured as well as it is, that people sold PS2 boxes full of rocks.
The wrote up the add like this
PS2 (box full of rocks) for sale!! You will love this
*() was written in really really small print at the bottom of the add.
I bet someone was pissed when the payed 1000$ for a Playstation 2 box filled with rocks lmao.
