Because if nortons missed one, would my computer suffer from the simptoms of a virus or the like?

no because there are a lot of viruses that you dont notice, the ones that you may call malware but not really
For computers, buying cheaply and often will only leave you constantly in a world of shit.

NO system is ever clean, its only when you get virus/malware thats really quite nasty that you see the effects in your computer performance.

In reality you should run atleast 3 different anti virus programs and 3 different adware removes/stoppers.

You should probably run these programs

Nortons
Mcafee
Kasper
Ad-aware SE
Spybot Search&Destroy
Spyware Blaster

running IL system wiper couldnt hurt

yea so that computer died... everytime i start it up now it goes to black and white w/ windows logo and tries to fix the OS (looks like chkdsk) and then it finds a bunch of files and "truncates" them... funny thing is it finds a bunch of kapersky or whatever files...

ill jus redo the OS n wipe the hd if i have to
