all-too 1337 lol, what you gonna use it for?
For computers, buying cheaply and often will only leave you constantly in a world of shit.

To start I'm probably going to record guitar directly from my Mesa Boogie TriAxis (I LOVE micing stuff, but since it's my live rig, mics and my cab will be moving a lot). After my band and I get some nice drum mics we'll throw those into our mixer, go into the 1820M, then use the mixer as an output to the monitors as well.
It's a slow start to a home studio, pretty much. I already have the room set up for it and all with my gear and comp down there, just need to get some studio gear going.

Are you talking about where it says "Word clock?" It's a newer way of plugging in digital mixers. I've never seen it used...but then again I haven't seen many digital mixers around either. Most are those huge 24 channel monsters.
