lol i just realized a stupid thing i did for every reformat except for the one i did yesterday:
i ran multiple installers at the same time, imagine the fragmentation doing that o-o

lol this time i just opened every install exe i found and THEN went and installed each by itself

NUUU not perfect enough, i always wonder, just how well do defragmenters know which files go with which. the saves for some games for example; if defraggers are reading for the files made by the installer (which i doubt is what they do), they wont know about the saves. and its not like each file has its own unique name either.

what i like about my last installation is that i installed my desktop sidebar and statbar near the end, after everything else. because of that, the bars load last when you boot up. i LOVE that ^^ my earlier reformats they tend to load before the wallpaper itself and therefore the wallpaper loads according to the bars (ex. i have statbar on top, sidebar to the left, the top left corner of the wallpaper does not go to the top left corner of the screen, but starts below the statbar, and to the right of sidebar) is there a way to change the ORDER of when the startup programs load?

The drive has a TOC, just like a CD. Each file is given a location in the TOC and when you defrag it does a lookup to see which files should be were and if or not they are actually where the should be.

My question is WTF are you talking about can you change the order in which programs load.

Are you talking about add on startbars and sidebars or the windows stuff???

I dont think you can pick "when" the startbar is installed....

i used to install AIM, drivers, sidebar, and statbar before all other programs... then from that i notice that they are the first programs to load up after a reboot (startup programs). but with this reformat, sidebar and statbar were the last programs i installed and they loaded so late even kaspersky beat em, i thought they wouldnt load at all. from this observation, it seems windows limits how many of the programs open at a time, not just executing everyone at once. therefore, there must be an order to which ones are opened first and i want to be able to edit it
