If I had the money, I would defiantly go with the Prius. Instead we got an 03 Oldsmobile Alero GL sport edition. Nice car tho and well maintained. For the wife of coarse. I got a 96 Chevy beretta 5 speed. For an older car with over 100,000 miles, it runs great and is in good condition.

'98 Civic EX here, B18C1 engine/trans swap, CAI, hiflow, hiflow cat, header... Still working on it, probably pushing around 190hp right now.
Anyway, why are you only looking at hybrids? Nothing against them, just curious...I can't see the point myself of getting one. Great gas millage, sure, but heavy and those damn batteries... I don't know, just not for me I guess.

Here to impress.
Only bad thing about these engines are that they basically need new head gaskets every 100K miles, and this one already had that bullet bit when I got it.victimizati0n wrote:what a horrid engine.2005 wrote:I got a 99 Chevy Monte Carlo and I love that bad boy.
3.1L V6 and I get over 23 miles to the gallon but she runs like a raped date.
not one of chevys best.
This car accelerates very quickly for being completely stocked out and I can carry 60-80 MPH up over big hills and the RPMS either don't or barely climb at all. Not like a dinky jerky 4 cylinder that chugs like an old man playing middle linebacker for the steelers whenever you go up the slightest hill or have more then 1 person in it.
