she has win 2000,
... alotta updates, pre-SP3
not exactly viruses, but alotta adware/spyware
desktop
problem started when adaware said it needed to restart the comp to delete something.
restart and it fuxored.
LOL she told me already, dumb blonde too lazy to do it again ^^

for one thats a bad os.. update to sp6 i think it goes that high.... get rid of all spyware (what program did she use?)

yea, one of those two programs could have removed a file you need (it might have taken it as spy/ad ware).... can u restore it to an earlier date??
Or better yet do you have a bootdisk to try and see what that does??
