PS2 Flip Top and Swap Magic disks

I thought this was bull shit when I first saw it, the idea that with a case with a hole cut in the top and a set of swap disks that you could play ps2 backups. So i orderd it up and installed it... all i had to do was take off the top of the cd drive so i could get at it once the new lid was installed. So I burn my copy of Madden 2005 with dvd decrypter and fire up the ole faithful ps2. Insert the swap disk first.. it loads and eventually i hear the drive stop and it says on the screen Insert Disk... so i opened the lid on top and took out the swap disk and inserted the backup of madden 05... pressed x and to my suprise it loaded and played the game. Im am very impressed thus far.

wait so this is some kinda mod to the CD drive?

well not exactly, you see you need to be able to get the disk out of the ps2 without it knowing that the disk has been removed. With the fliptop you can open the top of the lid and remove the disk and the unit doesnt know because you didnt press the eject button. You need to remove the cover of the cd drive to get access to it once you flip the top of the new lid open other wize youd just see the top of the lid of the cd unit.

This flip top thing is the shit, i just ordered a 100 pack of ridata 4x dvd +r's for 38 bucks... so ill have plenty of media for my burned games. Games im goana pirate will include
