Could you benchmark Cinebench 10.5 and 11.5 please? I'd like to add your Core i7 930 to my Cinebench charts!

Single and multithread scores from both the 32bit and 64bit versions of the benchmarks would be preferred (both are included in the downloads), otherwise 64bit only.

Oh, and scores for both stock clock speed and w/e your OC may be..
Yes, this is a lot.. Take your time? :P

results for the stock clock speeds are in... not sure how long it will be till I overclock

Intel Core i7 @ stock settings

CINEBENCH R10 32 bit 3231 / 13553

CINEBENCH R10 64 bit 4077 / 16498

CINEBENCH R11.5 32 bit 0.89 / 4.56

CINEBENCH R11.5 64 bit 0.97 / 4.83

In conclusion I think my R10 benches are low and I think the R11.5 benches are in line with what the 920 does on your chart (factoring in my 140mhz speed difference

Sorry about the 10.5, I mean't 10.

Your scores seem fine, R10 included.

New! Singlethread sorted charts. I never figured out how to do the sort in Excel, had to use Google Docs' spreadsheet. The best I could make Excel do was sort by a single column but it would never sort the other columns along with it.

Thanks for participating :D

btw, I believe the 1.08 singlethread score for the i5 750 is just a lucky fluke given the other scores..

Can you explain why on the 4th of my pictures that the core i7 860 at exactly the same clock beats my i7 930 ?

The only difference I see is that the i7 860 is a Lynnfield and this is a Bloomfield. Both are 45nm, both have 8MB L3 cache, both are at 2.80ghz.

I don't know..

And let me get this straight lol.... your running a 450W PSU on your new rig and my 4 year old setup had a 535W enermax PSU.

On a side note, seeing 2TB drives on newegg for $100 shipped makes me want to build a Server/NAS of my own.

I just need to brush up on my networking. Specifically configuring different OS's to be networked to the NAS

I don't know, it probably has to do with our real world environments vs. w/e test "lab" they may be running to get their base scores. Try benching in safe mode?

I downgraded from an OCZ 700W to the Corsair 450W because the OCZ fan is too loud and 700W seemed overkill for a system that barely hits 300W under full load. During this time I concluded that everyone's recommendations for wattage were way overestimated.

Later I found out why they recommend so much higher than our system's usage; its so the fan never kicks up. The 450W was nice and quiet like expected during normal browsing use and idle, but once I started playing games? *WHRRRRRRR*

What I should have gotten was a ~700W quiet PSU... but I'm not going to bother at this point.

You just need to use samba, easy!

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make a new signature like I did my old one. I haven't touched photoshop since I did the old one over 4 years ago.... I'm lost lol

lol. Find the T icon on the left panel, you may have to click and hold each icon to reveal more sub icons for that position to find T.

I can make the background and I can do the text but I can't for the life of me add in the images like how I have AMD and Lanparty in my old one lol

I'm guessing it opens those images in a new tab and you're going "wtf!"
I think you're supposed to copy the layer and paste in the sig tab.. something like that. I haven't done this stuff in a long time too. My sigs have always been modifications of the original copy, where is your original copy??

I have no idea where my original copy is lol but in other news I just ordered some more stuff for my computer !

I got :

50 foot blue cat5e cable

A new 120 cd / dvd wallet

LG BLACK 10X Blu-Ray Burner WH10LS30 ($109.99)

6 foot USB extention

20 Blu-Ray blank media (got them for $25)

2 100 packs of Verbatim DVD-R's ($35 total)

Free Cyberlink PowerDVD 9

Free 3D blu-ray glasses

Free Verbatim 2X BD-R blank

So here in lies another question mostly for PB :

Where and with what methods do you download your high def movies, tv episodes and other things ?

Why have BD burning capabilities? Particularly in an era where optical media's own future is questioned... I already see some people that don't even include an optical drive in their builds. They just have a single shared optical drive they connect through USB on demand since optical is hardly ever needed.

www.tehparadox.com which is based upon people posting download links for sites such as megaupload.com. I recommend you use JDownloader to automate the downloading process (it can even solve most site's captcha by itself). It also auto extracts the archive(s) and is virtually required when downloading huge HD movies that can have over 100 rar part file links. Imagine downloading them one by one by hand. ;) No seeding required!
