Why in the flying fuck would you hook that up with an FM modulator?!? ROFL, dude, take that shit back.

If anything, you could set a button to toggle the radio and the DVD player.

Or just set something like a photodiode to sense when the player is on (or anything else that could could be used as a detect) to make a direct connection to the radio components (things like EQs and balance/fade controls) so the radio would play the audio directly from the player, instead of loosing quality and having to worry about interferance. They probably didn't do something at least similar to that because hell, putting in an FM modulator is easy shit.

mmm well thats not good... XD i got a lil walkman and listened to the FM modulator from the van, i could still hear the signal about 2 cars away! XD oops that may not be very nice on roads, no? ^^ (but still signal gets weak when at the antenna area which would explain the occasional static)

so my dad wants to change it to a station that exists so when he turns off the van it doesnt have that split second of static (FM modulator turns off allowing for actual FM signal to be recieved) but if its a static channel, cars next to us should not be using it, which avoids them hearing our shit.... what should i do?

Fortunately, your opinion means very little in the big scheme of things.

oldsmobile is not a name o.O
No, but Olds was. As in, Ransom E. Olds, the founder of Olds Motor Works.
