There's a limit on how many files you can have? WTF?

yeah, hard drives have sectors, i think each sector is like 32KB. each sector can only hold one file, it doesnt matter if each file is 1KB, if you have 32 of them, it will effectively take up 1MB of space.

20,000,000 1KB files would take up 640GB of space, that is, of course, if my memory is even correct XD. but obviously the fix is to limit the number of files. its all just fine dude ;) go calculate it out, about 75KB average file size or something if they were all the same file size. my average already exceeds it so its all good

EDIT:
ok sector sizes are 512 bytes by default, but the other thing still stands as-is:
"For example, if the file size is 800 bytes, two 512 k sectors are allocated for the file."

Seems pretty odd, even if I don't expect many files to be below the 32K mark.

Vertigo.

Dumber than a pickle on ice-cream.

"Uno"
Okay, that's spanish, meaning the number 1
"Dos"
Again, spanish. This is the number 2, you probably learn this in 2nd grade.
"Tres"
Three. Accolades of genious to Bono. The normal cliche is stop at three when you're a rock and roller.
"Catorce"
Not only did Bono take it to the unprecedented level of rocking on past the three count to wind up the crowd. He went from 3 to 14, literally. 1-2-3-14.
