Actually, it says 'alternative pop/rock'..philp wrote:Actually, it says "alternative/pop rock" which is a total oxymoron. Can't they decide if they're going to be one of the three?oW_bAby wrote:OH, and under styles, it says alternative/rock..just to let you know.
But it does mean I have a good idea of what I'm talking about. You said you had studied the genre or whatever for a long time,
For the record, I appreciate a lot of his/their work, but if lyrics are the only thing that makes something emo, you're doing a lot of mutation to the term as it's used today. Would you call Nine Inch Nails, Opeth, or Nirvana "Emo" because they sometimes deal with more emotional ideas?Bright Eyes is the most EMO-EST BAND EVER. Omfg are you freaking music blind.
I've never heard of anybody calling Belle & Sebastian emo, or anything related to it.he only says that because people call his band sissys because of their lullaby-ish sounds they have in their music.
Sometimes, I get to be a real prick, and start throwing classifications around based on people's musical interests (I didn't quite like being called a Punk when people heard that I like Bad Religion or a Goth once I proposed undying love for Joy Division), and I'm sure it's not very nice to other people. I apologize. But, you know why you tick me off right now?
How you said I was emo. Even palm establishes me as a girly girl.
You understand it because you write the same way.I7Iz490N wrote:i understand it , and im sure phil does, but hes bein a jackass. would be easier to read with better punctuation tho
Don't you think a little punctuation would help define a sentence?palmboy5 wrote:i dont think its punctuation, more of a "thats not a fucking sentence" thing...
