Many companies still stick with Windows XP and not sure about new OS

PSH. Windows 7 is awesome. Vista just needs to be seen as a huge beta version of Windows 7.

MY only issue with it is that they got rid of the sidebar. Fortunately for now it is possible to copy the sidebar folder from Vista into win7 and it will work.

I agree.

No sidebar?!?!?!? That's just down right rude. I am glad you figured out how to import it from Vista. I love that sidebar.

Technically "sidebar" still exists, but they just HAD to go about removing the concept of a sidebar, forcing gadgets to be just free-placement on the desktop. There is no way to allocate screen space for gadgets that maximized windows can't invade.

I formerly had to just dock the gadgets to a side and manually size windows so that they never covered the gadgets.

Here's a removal I don't understand at all:
Vista's analog clock gadget's second hand will move and bounce back into place like a real life second hand (you just have to see it), but they removed the bounce in Windows 7. Why??

I love that clock and that fact of the second hand moving backwards. It reminds me of being back at school. Our clocks looked like that and did that same thing. why do they gotta mess with things that arent broke.

Too bad that means my laptop won't be able to do XP mode... CPU doesn't have virtualization

Ill bet a nice M.C.Escher pic would make a nice desktop. Do you know what ever happened to the real document flip? I mean really turn the page around rather then between different open applications.

I remember Microsoft and Sun Java having a press conference of sorts on the upcoming Vista operating system. They boasted the ability to, lets say, take a browser window and flip it over 180 degrees and have a note pad on the back to take notes about that page. Does that not ring a bell, or was that never supposed to be "document flip"?
OK maybe not. I just did a search and all I find is what it already does. I can't for the life of me find what I'm talking about.

All windows 7 users will get a full retail liscense of windows XP SP3 and windows 7 will have full support for all XP related software.

Personally the ONLY thing I like about vista is it's driver support, other then that why go away from XP
