Got a new phone! Not a guarantee that I'll keep it but keeping it is likely. I just hate the size of the phone, it's huge. Compare it to the iPhone 5 and my previous phone:

My ideal phone would be smaller than or equal to the 4" Atrix, but seeing as how all the good new Android phones are 4.6" and larger... I didn't have a choice. The plan is to see if I can adapt to using an obscenely sized phone.

I hate the trend in the Android world for phones to have screens 4.6" and larger. I have a very simple benchmark to indicate if a screen is too big: If I hold the phone in my right hand and point my thumb to touch the bottom right corner of the screen, I better be able to also touch the top left corner without readjusting my hold of the phone. With the Nexus 4, I can barely even achieve pressing the bottom left edge at all.

An aspect that makes me rage right now is that for my unlock PIN (which has a 4), I commonly can't get the 4 to be pressed because by reaching to that part of the screen, the base of my thumb is pressing on the bottom right corner and rendering those presses disabled. And no I'm not just going to choose a PIN that only uses the right and center numbers lol. That is the wrong order of operations.

So anyway, screen size aside, and apart from the disappointment that the video capture doesn't have any autofocusing (STILL? WTF), the phone is pretty amazing. The 318 ppi IPS screen is great, and everything Android runs very smoothly.

Turns out the video capture does have continuous autofocus, except the continuous part seems to be buggy. Sometimes it really needs to autofocus but it doesn't do anything...
