Startup Disks

I just formatted this hdd and ganna try and put a windows on it. I just made a MS-DOS boot disk and it says : Starting... A:\> what should I do?? I have windows xp home cd.


AND

How can I to a repair on my HDD so it will boot again

type 'dir' to see all the files on the disk.. i forgot the name of the exe, but find it and then enter in the file name

well i dunno why u need the boot disk, the xp CD has its own formatting/partitioning system

I put on the wrong hdd.



and then


the hdd said the same thing so what should i do?? I alrady formatted that before. but I tried to install 98 on with the book disk so im not sure if thats like in there.


So how should i install windows??

It boots normally. doesnt detect a cd
