Different drives call it differet things... buffover overflow, buffer underun and on.

His probably has nothing to do with a cd burner or cd burning software... so unless he was burning a cd when this happend then he has no need to think its that.

ok sorry i had some exams that kinda held me up from gettin back here...ive searched all over and i cant find anythin

i get a mcafee pop up message saying that Buffer Overflow Protection blocked a bo:stack detection on the pathname C:\WINNT\system32\Services.EXE::LoadLibraryA

the message usually comes up in a sequence of a few times, meaning ill get a mcafee pop up, close it, then itll repeat like 5 times, then ill go a day or 2 w/o anythin and then it comes back

this message pops up when im doin whatever, general use, no cd burnin or reading is necessary to cause the mcafee pop up, i dont even have a cd burner and i havent read a cd in here in a while

i belive it also has to do with random restarts of my computer.. the mcafee pop up comes commonly and then in a more rare once in a while ill get a pop up with a countdown usually from 30 or 60 sec sayin save all work, windows will auto restart... cant remember the exact message at the moment tho

I did a search for LoadLibraryA and found this:
http://search.symantec.com/custom/updat ... r&x=38&y=3

Don't know if it helps. I use Norton system works 2004. I don't trust anything else for my virus protection. I have been using nortons for years now and I have NEVER been infected.

how do you know if norton missed one if norton is the only one you ever used? ;)
