I need some wireless NIC's for a DLG 4300... my mom is setting stuff up in here room (where the router and wires are) that would prevent the wired route from being ideal. So were getting a DLG 4300 and we need 3 wireless NIC's for each of our PC's.
I know wireless may suck compared to wired, but I have to go that route and Im lookin for some NIC's in the 20-30$ range.

imo the DLG-4300 is a 1337 wired router with the addition of wireless. from what youre saying, doesnt sound like you will be using wired much at all, so it would be ideal to choose a router that isnt necessarily gigabit but has the newer MIMO tech. MIMO allows for longer range and faster speeds, enough so for them to actually claim the following: "delivers real world performance of up to 650% faster than an 802.11g wireless connection and faster than 100Mbps wired Ethernet"
i for one know that even if i hold my laptop right up against the router antenna, i cant get faster than 2mbps with 802.11g. that is simply pathetic. and i HAVE downloaded corrupted copies of files because i was using wireless, thanks to the installer checking integrity. there is a reason why me and dragon's routers both say to only flash the router through a WIRED connection, because wireless is just shit.
my router, the one that doesnt even HAVE wireless, says "To upgrade the firmware, your PC must have a wired connection to the router. Enter the name of the firmware upgrade file, and click on the Upload button." to say it on a router without wireless just shows its urgency, and that shows that even DLINK knows a DLG-4300 cant improve that.
to decrease the severity of this shit you should look into those MIMO / '802.11n' routers, i dont have a model to recommend ATM

Well I dunno dawg... I want to stay wired. I wont be cut down to 2mbps because of this... so if thats the case then I'll be sticking to wired and my dad will just have to drill holes through the walls.
So wireless is bad, like dont get the DLG 4300???
Im having a hard time finding a 802.11/n with MIMO... and wouldnt you need special adapters for that? or would 802.11g take the cake.

you just need to search 'MIMO' basically, 802.11n isnt fully established as of now, routers saying they have it say Pre-N, it may or may not be fully compatible with the final spec. so just look for MIMO, and yeah you will need special adapters with it.

i like this router but it isnt necessarily the best, seven antennas and all are internal

thats the one they say to be a good match with the router
MIMO is benefitial because rather than just one antenna, they have several, and rather than just simple broadcasting of the signal and reception of the direct signal, it is able to find ways around objects by bouncing some of the signal from some of the antennas off walls to find a clearer path
