i got the thing to upgrade from my Celeron 466MHz system XD, the motherboard may be small enough to fit in the original case, but the heatsink wouldnt. even if it could, the case's microATX power supply wont be able to handle a
Prescott
so i got out the old Gateway case for the PentiumPro 180MHz and took the mobo out and shit:

put the bundled motherboard in:

ah... a Celeron... XD

http://www.mylilsite.net/images/prescott/cpu2.jpg
and its heatsink:

http://www.mylilsite.net/images/prescott/heatsink2.jpg
of course, i used MX-1
putting in CPU:

when pressing the thing down upon the socket's pins, I could just feel the reusability dissappearing.
about the heatsink's mounting design... well, ill start off with; I guess it works. LOL i HATED it.

do YOU know what to do? the damn thing took 20 minutes to put on, and look what i found straight off Intel's site:

dude. why would someone even need to warn that?
the manual didnt help, just stated the obvious; put it on top of the cpu.
after an hour more of random torment to get everything else in, i got it.

horray...!
i have never heard a louder CPU fan in my entire life.

Thats with this X1800XT at stock, I wont OC it until I get the AC siliencer for it. I remeber running this benchmark before on my HP, but I dont recall getting 300-600FPS rofl.
