Getting CompTIA A+ certified

Well, before the end of september I'll be A+ certified (or whevener the new 06 A+ test comes out). I figure it will be good to sort of "prove" my abilites so to speak and will make getting hired oh so much easier.
This comes after a wakeup call, to that of which I owe my uncle untold gratitude.
After working for him this past year, my eyes have been opened to so many facts. I dont want to be where im at anymore any longer then I've already been here. I work long and hard for little pay, am subject to things/treament that wouldnt be justified with twice my hourly salary. I go out of my way and often put off things I want to do in order to watch his dog on the weekend while hes doing what he wants to do. I get every single peice of shit work that comes through the place.
My friend works at Circuit City and makes $8.50 an hour which after taxes would be bring home what I am now. Except Ill be doing somethign I like to do, wont have to walk/watch a dog and wont be subject to the things I am here.
The deal gets better from there. My friend informed me that he doesn't thing they are brining on any more computer repair techs at his current location and my chances arent so great to being with (due to no certs of any kind). While I wouldn't mind a job like his, I would wrather be a repair tech due to its more my line of work ( I HATE dealing with people ) and the pay will be better.
They are opening a new BestBuy about 10 miles from my house and it indeed has a geek squad station. I was informed that the average starting wages are over 25,000 a year. So I've applied to be an IN store computer repair tech. I figure I have a decent chance since they dont already have draws full of resumes and arnt fully staffed yet. I have "voluenteer" work of maintaing a computer and small network for a "business" and I have built, upgraded and maintained my own machines for quite some time now (all put on the "resume" lol).
I feel its the first logical step in the career, after that Ill get my Network+ CompTIA cert and go from there.
