Which ones and why? I want both the Wii and the 360 but.. dunno which first. So help me decide, why do you want what you want? ;)

After getting the HDTV, my outlook on consoles has changed drastically >_> the wii cant do HD and I want HD, but then its so unique and interesting.. bah.

Yeah but my dad wants it, and since hes paying for everything, it'll be easier to leverage getting the Wii first, but then I don't like the wii and that means waiting longer for the other one.

dragon, 480p is not HD, its widescreen progressive SD (480i). I've already played xbox games and tried XBMC at 480p on the HDTV and it looks terrible. Maybe if i got a 37" 1080p I wouldn't care but stretching a 480p image to a 61" screen? hell no.

What level of media center ability does the PS3 have? Better than the 360's? 360 is cheaper though.

I've never tinkered with the PS3 yet, I'm not sure it can read things like mpegs or avi's.

Once I get my external 2.5" USB HDD with a FAT32 partition on it I'll try some of this out and let you know.

The PS3 has already had good breakthroughs in the "scene". A release group has a lot of the headwork done. They aren't releasing specifics at this point.

@ Dragon

Don't be hating the PS3. Resistance is a great game, I've had tons of fun with madden 07 and although Fight Night Round 3 isnt worth 60$ IMO its fun none the less. I beat Need for Speed Carbon and sold it back to get Fight Night.

The PS3 is more then name, and has only been out 2 months now. Xbox has been out 14 months now. So to say the xbox has more games for it is stating the obvious. Wait until the PS3 starts to see some of its better titles before bashing it.

As far as I can tell, 360 overheating issues were solved a few months after release. And I was the one worrying if the HDTV needed more than the 3 inches clearance in the back for the heat to rise from (3 inch is plenty), I think I can deal if such a problem comes up.

2005, can't you get your PS3 to access your PC to try some videos and stuff? If it can't do that then... 360 would be the ONLY multimedia system choice.

i left at like 6:40, got there in time for the 49th slip out of the 63 units avaliable, left to eat and went back when they opened ^^

lol the slip was just the Executive Team Director's business card with a number written on the back with a marker.

last time i went, week before christmas, they had 17 units available, failed that one.

sadly they ran out of additional wiimotes about 5 ppl before me.
