My opinion exactly. I'd like to be spiderman, but if I were, I'd probably get involved in a better plotline..

Well a movie has to be really great to win me over... no movies come to mind in the last 5 years that were noticably good to me. Spiderman was real close to something id only watch once. Then their are movies like without a paddle... it was ok, id watch it a few times maybe even buy it. Then their are good movies like Saving Private Ryan. Id have to say their were less then 5 movies out in the last 10 years that Id watch more then twice a year.

2005, you're definitely looking in a bad place if you want to find good movies: the movie theatre. None of the movies I've liked have been seen at a theatre in the past few years - Donnie Darko (although I'm liking it less and less now), Waking Life, or The Machinist (I did see it in a theatre, but it was an underground deal). Most of the stuff I've found likeable have been introduced through word of mouth or over the internet, like Natural Born Killers or Blue Velvet.

The lesson: Corporate media is always wrong. :)

Well in genereal the movies in general these days are worth about their admission one time only... some i would pay to see an additional 1-2 times and the select few I would go 5+ to see in a theatre.

Then maybe it's a difference of taste. I've never gone to a theatre without being disappointed. :)

I think I'll stay under a rock, and probably be eventually forced to watch it by one of my media-friendly peers (sort of like happened with The Incredibles), and then get very into it, and eventually become a star wars geek.
