Aw restin?

#1 Post by palmboy5 » Fri Jul 08, 2005 8:18 pm

From his LJ

I may have struck another vein of bad luck. Supposedly, tomorrow our phone's getting shut off, and since I use DSL, the internet will soon follow. If I'm still able to be online after work tomorrow, this is the first place I'm going.

If there's a few last words for a number of weeks or months before I can regain the internet, I want to leave behind:

- I really, really love Katie, and I hope the internet knows.
- I'm really sorry that I don't respond to people's comments sometimes. I feel really crappy, but I don't always know what to say. :(
- Cannibal Corpse fucking rules.
- I had a dream that Frost stayed at my house (yes, you, Frost) and he got a new computer, which I liked.
- I haven't been able to access Wog Coalition for a very long time now, and I don't know how to ask for help. It's pretty gay.

I got to hang out with Cydney this weekend, and it was pretty fun. I slept at one of her nazi friend's house, and she didn't comment on the Hammer and Sickle shirt I made. She also had pictures of the KKK, Tupac, Swastikas, and various drugs (weed, mushrooms, and I believe some other things). They all seemed to contradict eachother, and while I didn't get the commie-meets-nazi conversation, she did call me a terrorist for wanting to burn flags.

I don't get it. Nazis who like rap, and don't mind gay/bi people sleeping on their bedroom floor, wearing a Hammer & Sickle shirt, while Cydney and she were talking about stuff.

There's among my last tokens to the internet for a while. I'm off to bed, and may server protect us all.

He's always had these sorts of problems, correct? I remember him disappearing a couple times.

Still sucks though.
Here to impress.

Hey, people read my LJ. :)

With the situations at hand, I get downtimes a few times a year lasting anywhere from a few weeks to a few months (last year, I was out from around May to December). Right now: My mom's boyfriend is moving across state lines, and wants my mom to follow. Chances are, I'll either move in with him as well or stay with friends in the town I'm in.

As for right now, I'm working as his (Dan) assistant. It's a pretty nice job, but if I don't move in with him (which I don't want to), I'm not too sure of how I'll get to work. But, as for now, I guess I'm free to get online while I'm not doing anything at work. :D

My phone service has not seen a downtime in 5 years. I had Adelphia for 3 years with a downtime of 1 week. I now have DSL Verizon for about 5-6 months and I haven't gotten downtime yet.

As for you palm, you will be missed. You are one of the few people I know, besides myself LOL, who can post the spammiest spam in one thread and post some brilliant remark in another. Never too dull reading your post without knowing what to expect.

restin256, I don't know how old you are but if it helps I'll give ya some advice. Do what feels right for you considering all aspects of your life now and in the near future (i.e. up to 2 years). Also conceder how much of an impact the decision will make on what may happen after that time. Most of the time the answer will come to you rather quick, but ask a trusted friend, preferably one who has "been there, done that", like maybe your Mom if your that close with her.

And last but not least, always remember.....

He was quoting what I'd written on my livejournal a week or so ago. :) As for me, any advice is welcome. My future looks pretty bright right now, and if everything flows in my direction, then I'll be moving in with a friend of mine, and have my own computer and internet connection in about two months.

Your first mistake, "flows in my direction". You want to flow with your path and not make a path flow to you. You have enough to do with opening doors and backtracking at times to want to try and make a life path flow in a perticular direction. Always remember, no matter what life throughs at you, make the best of it and come out ahead. I am struggling with just such a thing in life as we speak and it never gets easy.

Downtime is over. I have the internet back at home, and I'm getting DSL by the end of the month. As my livejournal states, we're able to stay in this house for quite a while. :)
