More Matrix!

#1 Post by Guest » Thu Sep 01, 2005 1:34 pm

I am now watching Matrix Reloaded. While Animatrix was on TV like a few months ago for a little while, I tried to watch as much of it as I could (it came on very late during school nights).

Now, since I'm finally watching Matrix again, I realize Animatrix kinda helped, like, in the beginning when Naiobi(sp?) shows the geotherm maps, they were attained from this chinese chick that died to have them delivered.

And like, it also shows how the humans "scorched" the sun (Morpheus only explained it, in Animatrix it is shown).

Gonna go back to watching, no questions yet though <cackle>

Who's that guy that comes up to Neo and offers to carry his bags? Trinity said something about Neo saving his life and Neo said "I didn't save his life." I THINK his name is "The Kid" but I'm not too sure. WTF did Neo do :S

And, if the Oracle is a program, who is the programmer? It can't be the machines, because she is on the humans side.

The Architect was obviously programmed by the machines.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I know who the Kid is, he's from Animatrix. He's running from these cop dudes, and he like jumps out of a 15309835 story window and when he falls he opens his eyes and is with Neo.

Ok I got it, memory ftw. Still don't get the oracle thing though

The idea of an alternate reality is garbage, espically one in which your body in the physical word takes punsihment for what you do in the virtual world.

But do explain the reasoning behind it being a pure work of genius.

its your mind =\ if you got shot in the virtual world you wont have a bullet hole in the real world on your chest, but you will feel the pain the same, because your mind makes it real

Well, I don’t know about the story line being original. There are a lot of movies that try and explain what happens when machines take over. Take "Terminator" for example.
What I think make this a good movie is the how it turns out. It leaves a lot to the imagination. People will have different ideas as to what the ending is all about. When Neo disappeared into the machine, did he destroy the machine as we know it?, did he just give the machine a better understanding?, Did the machine really expect this to happen so the cycle can start over again?, did Neo give the machine a better understanding of the programs and now our controlled fantasy is almost flawless?
This is only my opinion, I could be wrong.
