in math class, she has this shelf thing with different baskets for each row's hw... she says to use the little bench next to it to take your hw out, its impractical as you would have to be really early or really late to even have space on that bench. since my desk is like right next to it i just put my backpack on my desk to get my hw out, a friend uses it too and hes like "I'm gonna use your desk" and the teachers like "Don't start talking."

bitch.

What math class requires you to use a graphics calcuator?? I think the only class I've really ever needed it for was Geometry or maybe Algebra 2. It has applications in physics but we just used a lap top with physics software and good ole TI-30Xa's for our needs.

I suggest you pick up a TI-30Xa as there really usefull. Oh and you dont get too much better the the TI-83's/84... there is a 89 model but I wouldnt think it necessary.

Oh and in Trig we did all our work in excel.... ploting a Sin wave or working out the 29 trig identities.

In Grade 10 Math we're gonna be practicing and preparing for Grade 11, so we're gonna be using graphing calculators a bit and the teacher recommended TI-83 plus or similar

i got a TI-84 Plus Silver... only because its basicly the highest allowed. TI-89 is about 349875947 times better, too bad it got stolen.. the screen resolution between 83/84 and 89 is like... one's pixels are these HUGE fucking squares one is "nearly gameboy-like"
Geometry was like.. is like.. the LEAST needy of a graphing calculator.

i kinda like the TI-30 for its little line above the real thing showing what you're doing and your history.. but the button layout and order is different and i dont feel like retraining myself away from my casio XD

I do most on holidays like easter and christmas, and me and my grandparents will go randomly. Id say about 5 times per year. I should go more often.

Shitty. I only went for the social enviroment, and even then I felt pretty different from everyone there, like nothing belonged.

You guys are all fucked up. When I was in school, they actually expected the students to learn and DO THE WORK THEMSELVES!!!! Hard to imagine, I know. But if we got caught with a calculator in any math class, we got a failing grade for the day.

BTW, do you have to name your calculators so the school board can put that on the diplomas at graduation day?
Take me across the water, cuz I need someplace to hide.
Well I done the rancher's daughter and I sure did hurt his pride.

Haha, philp...

I actually use my head/paper for work most of the time in math subjects. Then again, Johns Hopkins said I rank in the 100th percentile for word problem and application solving on my SATs.
Here to impress.

Philp, your a fucking retard who spends his time complaining for no reason.

My math teacher told us how they did it in the "old days". He NEVER allowed us to use a calculator unless extremely necessary throughout the year, mainly for trigonometry. He showed us how they did it without a calculator, and the only difference was it was more fucking time consuming.
