Good point PB, go ahead and go with either the San D or the x2 3800.. its up to you.

BFG is known for making very ocable cards, with the card even comming slightly oc'ed under warrenty. A free copy of COD2 is just a bonus.

I would really recommend 2GB of ram if you plan to do alot of cd ripping, video and audio editing and it future proofs your ram for about 1-2 years.

What you could do, is get a 74 GB raptor for your OS and games and get a 300-400GB 7200 RPM for data storage.

2GB RAM Vista (longhorn) proofs your system. not that i would recommend using anything newer than XP ;) go linux, DRM is teh gay

no get a 74gb raptor and two 200-300 in RAID 0 :]

lol Wine!! or run a windows emulator of XP or stay with XP... XD the system should be fast enough for the inefficiency of an emulator to not kill the playability, besides, hes gaming on a 500MHz system right now.

lol useless post

Shit...

I have to buy my shit at TigerDirect, which isn't a prob right now, but...

The only 2x 512MB OCZ Gold RAM they have has 2-2-2-8 latency. That's not bad, right? The only thing that's slower is the trp.

My parents like Tiger Direct, and so do I.

TD said this ram can take a shit load of voltage, so that's good I guess. 2-2-2-8 isn't bad anyhow.

power supply is a NO NO, the PSU has an ATX 20-pin connector, the motherboard requires the newer 24-pin connectors, mobo's alternative isnt safe, i recommend the epower puma II 450W.

lol and just for ur enjoyment, here is a detailed pic of the a8n32 :D

http://www.mylilsite.net/images/a8n32slideluxe.jpg

as u can see there is a molex connector on it labeled EZ_PLUG, that is their alternative to having a 24pin power supply but i dont recommend depending on it

aw no 2GB?

yup, they all do.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131568
click on the pic for a new window/tab, ull see the panel in the pic with the manual

u can also see in that pic a fan. you use this if you use watercooling or some other passive cooling for the CPU because as u can see, the bridge chips are passively cooled and are dependant on the CPU fan for airflow, and/or that optional fan

the A8N32-SLI is feature packed to the rim

I wouldnt get an SLI version, as I said adding another 7800GT wouldnt be justifiable to the performance gain. You can save a good bit of money.

The 2-2-2-8 is okay, but as I said you would be better off with 2x1GB of ram.

I would list prices that way we can see where the money comes from. Because unless that total is with taxes, and shipping you are getting ripped off.

You say I'd be better off with 2X1GB of RAM?

You never mentioned that, at least not in this thread. Way to go.

That price is without taxes, and with second day shipping. SECOND DAY shipping.
