For computers, buying cheaply and often will only leave you constantly in a world of shit.
because of bendy? i love bendy!
mobo should work... it is ASUS.
only thing i fear is my CPU, after me testing it with the mobo it came with, with that 145W PSU. mmm wonder what kinda power the PSU gave it as it gave that KEEKEKEKEKEKEKEKEK sound.
the possibly untrustworthy brands are Jaton and Gigaram, but i already tried Jaton's 6800 and it works just fine. it just doesnt come bundled with very much at all so its cheaper.
gigaram seems fine:

and apart from the girl on dope on their home page:
their site looks fine ^^
EDIT:
dude btw, the OCZ in that same review is 3-3-2-8 by default, can go to DDR550 @ 3-3-2-7

Wasn't it your jaton that had the a transistor or resistor go bad on you??? What did you ever do about that anyway. And didnt the extra pipelines get damaged???
I would spend the money and get quality stuff, Im hoping that the current non dual core 939's drop when the M2's come out. I want to pick up that San Deigo for about 185$ tops, or if dual core becomes more promissing I may see if I can get a decent deal on a toledo X2.
Either way im waiting until atleast march to buy anything, hoping that with ATI's new X1900XL that price drops will be soon following.

That case seems just fine, I like everything about it except no side window... I think it would be cool to look in and see the compenents. My PC will probably be placed so you want be able to see it anyhow... This case locks which I really like and it has plenty of cooling and the reviews also say this. Its just alittle pricey for me.
Powersupply is alright, has dual 12v and 20+4 pin connector. It supports SLI ( which I dont care about but nice anyway ) and has 2 fans.... my only complaints are alittle pricy and no active PFC
Mobo's great, you know how I feel about SLI.
CPU is fine, it will be even better when programs are designed to take advantage of 2 cores.
Ram is really the only thing on the list I have a big problem with... get something good like OCZ, Kingston, or Mushkin
The video card is superb, my choice also. It seems as good as the 6800 was, the 7800GT pwns it majorly. The Jaton seems like a good choice, I may go with eVGA though since for 10$ more you get free copy of Quake 4 and a warrentied OC.
DVD burner is a good choice, and the optical DVD rom drive is good no matter what it is.
The build isnt bad, and for the price you can beat it.

omg! 150GB raptor, i am actually interested now.
my jaton's thermal compound for the memory is too thin now since i kept removing the heatsink all the time, its my fault. i added some more thermal pads and it works just fine.
the capacitors (all of them) on my first 8RDA+ mobo went bad.
hm but i talked to a few ppl on AMD Forums that had Gigaram and they like it, like you said before when i doubted Jaton, they just put the stuff on the PCB. its all the same.
gigaram uses infineon chips just like corsair and ocz.
EDIT:
btw what about PQI and Crucial Ballistix?
LOL THAT tagan PSU is a bit pricy?? have u seen PC Power & Cooling PSUs?? the GOOD stuff.

a standard SLI bridge:
my bendy SLI bridge:
oh btw 2005, DVD-ROM drives are not good no matter what they are, i got an Emprex one and it certainly works okay but the way the tray moves in and out and the overall material feels and sounds cheap. such a characteristic just will not match a P180, now will it?
