if thats AGP then you should be beaten, rapied and smacked around. Then your 7000/1000 should be reduced to 1000/256 and you should forbid any other internet service then that shitty 1000/256 service (unless you want dial up)

PCI-E PWN JOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

And why a 450W... why not like 500-600W??? I thought the AGP cards required MORE power then the PCI-E and that was because some garbage like it couldnt pull enough juice through the AGP slot for the newer cards????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

2005, that PSU he chose is good, i mean.. its fucking OCZ :D and AGP cards do NOT require more power. so PCI-E provides more power to the card than an AGP slot does; but what powers the slots? the same that powers the extra connectors. whatever AGP/PCI-E lacks in power is made up from the extra molex/PCI-E connector. meaning PCI-E slots also do not provide enough power. AGPs take the 4 pin molex connector, PCI-E cards take a 6 pin PCI-E plug, 2 more pins of power... hm, i wonder why... could it be because PCI-E cards need more power?? oh noes!

the only AGP cards that take more power than their counterparts are those that have a PCI-E GPU. such is the case with the AGP 6600s, these cards possess a secondary chip converting PCI-E <=> AGP. this chip obviously uses power too and therefore the AGP version will take more power than a PCI-E version

You should have gotten a gainward 7800GS (its a full fledged 7800GT as it has 20 pipes and not 16). But meh, its a big improvement over what you had so good job FTW.

I dont know man... you can play at those resolutions but dont expect more then like 40FPS at most.

WoW is a graphical whore, and the 7800GS your getting is esentially a crippled 7800GT (16 pipes vs 20... that makes a fair difference but not earth shattering either).

Take a look at these benchies

FEAR at 1600x1200x32 (/w Softshadows)
4xAA,8xAF, Max Quality

Geforce 7800GT (PCI-E mind you.. 20 pipes) gets about 20FPS

Turning softshadows off will help abit, but dont except more then 40 fps

AOE 3

1280x1024x32
4xAA, 8xAF, Max Quality, Shader Very High

Geforce 7800GT gets 21.7 frames

You'll of course have to scale those results down by about 10% - 15% due to your card being a GS and not a GT.
