ok screw that.. i aint going around buying transistors to solder on. but holy shit.. that guy got a 7800GT to 660/1470.. just a reminder, my stock is 400/1000. his OC is like me OCing my X2 3800+ to 3.3GHz

Well for one, im sure their volt modding these cards. Im also pretty sure that their using good aftermarket cooling. The last thing that I think (not so sure about this one) is that the GS variants of the PCI-E GT cards use parts capable of slightly higher clocks because normally the pipelines are reduced.
I think the highest my new card has ever been pushed on air is like 690/1600 and its stock at 625/1500.

G Skill is a relatively new company that is well known by enthusiasts as a maker of good, cheap RAM. similar to Gigaram but it seems G Skill > Gigaram

My 7800GT is at 515/1250, stock cooling. Runs hot as fuck though, but no artifacts or weird ass freezes.
