i would still go inkjet just for the color, you never know when youre gonna need it. in that case, ONLY look at canon and hp. everyone else sucks.

if you dont really need color, get a laser printer, toner in them lasts a long ass time.. 2000 prints compared to prolly under 100 for an inkjet. A LOT cheeper in the long run.

trust me on this, printers are my specialty

i have a little old brother, its prolly 15 years old, and it still works flawlessly.. since it is old, i cant print pictures because it runs out of memory, but in the 10 years i have had it, i only needed to change the toner once.

cant use it anymore though, because the cleaning blade for the drum went bad, and i tore it apart trying to clean it, and scratched the shit out of the drum... luckily, the toner cartridge is attached to the drum, so if i ever wanted to use it again, all i would need is a new drum/toner unit.
