Aspartame like just about anything else is going to be OK in moderation. I did state before I look for diet with Splenda. Splenda is a sweetener so there is no sugar, aspartame or phenylalanine. Splenda is about the best sugar sub you can get. I still use real sugar in what little baking I do and in my coffee, which is about 3 cups a day.
