2005, the DFIs all come with active cooling unless you get the ATI chipset models. I don't think dragon is going to get an 8800GTS and an ATI motherboard unless I injected alcohol directly into his brain.
About the 8800GTS 320MB, I did a quick google:
"A tip for the ones out there stuck inbetween the 320MB and the 640MB versions of the GeForce 8800GTS - you will benefit from the bigger memory partition of the 640MB version only if you game at 1600x1200 with at least 2xAA 4xAF... "
Dragons the one who, despite my disagreements, refused to run WoW at anything lower than 1600x1200 even though his video card was far from capable of handling that load.

For computers, buying cheaply and often will only leave you constantly in a world of shit.
Oh btw, the 38mm thick Antec fan in my P180 is pretty loud at medium setting. And guess what, that is rated at 27db. You should go back to that quieter fan. Even if you fan speed control the louder fan, its bullshit. "I'll speed it up when I need it" won't work because the extra speed will only make up for higher temperatures during the summer. Each summer will therefore be more noisy than winter. But if you don't speed it up when you need it, then getting the fan and a fan speed controller is just a waste of money.

There has been no negligible difference in crossing chipset and GPU brand labels at all. THG did a study a while back... there was nothing to support that the competitions chipset would hinder the others GPUpalmboy5 wrote:2005, the DFIs all come with active cooling unless you get the ATI chipset models. If you're not OCing then get a higher clocked CPU. Futureproof my ass, barely anything you actually care about are going to effectively use your cores during the lifetime of your PC, while the ones that do use the cores you won't mind waiting for anyway (video encoding). Don't mention games, they are limited by another factor.
Can't sleep because its on? What happened to it being quiet? I can totally sleep with my P180. (EDIT: i didnt mean it that way but im not going to revise.)
