Well as far as audio goes I really can't tell that BIG of a difference. Say between a 1080p video viewed on a 120hz set vs a 240hz set would be something I probably wouldn't be able to tell apart. Now say a 480i SD picture vs a 720p picture it would be like night and day.

Same with audio... a 64 kbps MP3 vs a 320 kbps MP3 I will notice a BIG difference.

Take same said 320 kbps and compare vs a master recording and I wouldn't notice the difference at all.

As far as XP goes I liked XP. Don't get me wrong I would choose windows 7 over XP but there are days when I miss good ole XP. It did a fine job.

I know of one reverse situation :D
I tried Ubuntu Desktop 10.04 64bit on my laptop and got absolutely sick of it within 3 weeks. I don't think I'll ever try Ubuntu again. Server or other task where I don't actually "use" it? Sure. Otherwise its a horrible, horrible piece of crap. And yet, Ubuntu is the best that Linux has to offer in regard to usability.

Under what situation do you miss XP??
For computers, buying cheaply and often will only leave you constantly in a world of shit.

Got an ASUS BR-04B2T BD-ROM drive from Fry's for $20 AR :P

It was advertised on sale for 60 - 30 rebate but the rebate turned out to be a 40, so woot.

I'm not keeping it in one of my computers though, dad can make much more use of it.
