temperature... HOT

is there a way i can check what the temp inside my comp is?

You can check the temperature in the BIOS or you can use a program called MBM5.

ill go home and try to get the temp... whats the avg computers temperature?

for sum hours my comp is nice and silent and then for bout half an hour the fan is super loud and its hot as hell and then it repeats... i want to keep my comp on 24/7 w/ screensaver not standby/hibernate so i want to check the temp b4 it all explodes

id guess for ur Prescott... 60C. if ur PC is so called quiet, maybe 70C

Which CPU do you have? And which motherboard? If your motherboard has QFan technology (or something similar) the fan will spin according to the temperature. The higher the temperature, the faster the fan will spun, thus there is more noise.

dont kno what stuff i have until i get home... im thinkin thats what it is cuz it spins loud as shit and it wakes me up at night but i want to leave it on
