no start?

Today, I tried to shut my computer down, but it froze when I clicked the shut down button, so I had to hold the power button until it shut down. afterwards, i tried to start my computer but it kept getting stuck on the screen where it gives you the option to go into bios, it wouldnt except any commands or anything. After i took out my wireless card, i tried again, same thing. then the power cord, same thing. took out the battery for a couple seconds then tried again and it finally worked...so my question is, wtf is wrong with it?

my laptop kinda does that, if u just restart, itll freeze on the windows splash screen.

my answer, learn what to do to prevent it, do it every time. (lappy is 3 years old i dont give a fuck anymore, if its dying, let it die)

i wasnt just restarting..i was trying to stand by but it froze, so i had to shut down...then an hour later i tried to start
