DOS prompt

Whats the button to get to the dos promp on startup??

click "run" and type "command".

i wanna know too, but isnt it like.. XP stopped having DOS along with it? its like the earlier 98 and shit were still basicly a GUI over DOS, XP doesnt, so it doesnt need to have it?

well whast another way to format a drive?? when i try and just boot it up it will say invald disk please replace or something like that. my friend like reformatted and put in a os when i had the problem in the begining. he had a 98se diskette.

use this..... its a version of dos that will run like boot disk on win xp.

EDIT how am i supposed to get the file hosted...

sweet... that will create a disk that was supposed to be used to get into dos for the purposes of flashing a dvd drive but should provide you a way to format a drive.
