half second freeze?

wtf. My whole compute just started to freeze like for half a second every like 6 seconds. It JUST started tonight at like 10:00

WTF! It was after I opened my case and took out all the dust and stuff. could it be the hdd calbes are loose??

id rewire everything. that 99% should fix it

What anti-spyware are you using and when was the last time you ran a scan?

I have spybot and ad-aware 6 pro.


I replugged the stuff. still does it and its does it when i type too.

I think this was after the windows update under SP1

adaware 6 is old...

when it freezes when u type, does it, after unfreezing, quickly enter what u had typed during the freeze?

yeah
also happens when i like scroll, like on AIM. and the pic at the top where the fire comes out, it will also freeze a little than start again.

nope. how could i check or something. Cas I never did anything in the bios or anything. ALL i did was windows update, and clean out my pc.

would you say formatting will fix this??

ok... ionno if its SP2 but all my other PCs (SP1) take like an initial 50 seconds of freezing time whenever trying to access the laptop's HD

That's why I recommended AdAware SE. Seems to do a much better job than 6.0 does.
