I have 350$ on me right now. My parents owe me 530$ which I will be getting in around 4 weeks. Take 4x225 (my weekly pay) and you get 900$... add the 350$ I have right now and you get 1250$. Add the 530$ they owe me and you get 1780$. I will probably spend 100$ on gas and other stupid shit in the next 4 weeks. So I will have plenty of cash on hand.

oh yeah 2005, about SLI vs single new card for upgrade, i forgot to consider the factor that you already HAVE one card, meaning you already paid for half the stuff.
Then factor in price, you can get a 7800GT for about 275-295$. The average price of a 6800GT is about 250$... makeing the SLI setup over 500$
in BOTH upgrade options you have already spent some $350+ (this is probably much lower than it really was) to get the first 6800GT.
Option 1:
Buy another 6800GT for $250
have the same performance as one 7800GT
Total = 350 + 250 = $600
Option 2:
Buy one 7800GT for $275-$295
have the same performance as two 6800GTs
Total = 350 + 275-295 = $625-$645
and you just wasted a card.
Option 1, SLI, is cheaper.

Not really... think of it like this.
Say you bought a 6800GT at 350$ the first time around. Now you want to GO SLI and get a second 7800GT which is like another 250$. Add in the price extra for the SLI mobo (which is like maybe 20-50$). Consider the extra heat and power usage. So you now have your SLI 6800GT's for a total of 600$
None SLI.... I already have a Nvidia 6800GT that I bought for 350$. I dont wana go SLI so I plan on a 7800GT (300$). I take the 6800GT (which cost 250$ brand new) and sell it on ebay for 150$. Take 150$ from 300$ and your back to 150$. So an upgrade to a 7800GT (from a 6800GT) only costs 150$, takes less power and creates less heat. Not to mention I saved about 50$ on the mobo for non SLI. Well the 6800GT costs 350$ minus the 150$ you got for selling it and you have 200+300=500.
600$ vs 500$
you choose and a 7800GT owns 2x 6800GT's at high res high settings.
Im sure that an 6800GT could also fetch a little more then 150$ on ebay.

LOL well ionno, i dont sell my stuff
you have a miscalculation *refresh page* ok nvm XD
well good points, but ill just settle with having a 16% single card performance increase just for having a SLI 32X board (you can see this comparing my 3dmark with Q's)

I would also IF you can get it working stably, you have to say that its quite weird the way your A8N-32 SLI has been acting lately.
