man now im confused lol
u say the 7600gs is cooler but then im lookin at the reviews on newegg and theres a bunch of pple saying that the fan sucks and broke or the card burned up, then again the 8600gt has like 2 reviews so i dont kno
seems like the 7600gs is cooler AND the same time can't withstand heat
if the 8600gt is hotter but it can withstand it then its better right?
the difference between $70-100 isnt important right now, esp if the card will last long, i dont want a cheap replacement cuz itll be years before i get a new comp
im thinkin 8600gt... any thing else i should think of before i place an order?

It doesn't matter what you get, but make sure you get a card with a fan on it, and probably want to find the one with the biggest cooler.

is that power supply good... newegg reviews keep saying it died after 6 months or a year, or the fan just stopped working... any others or should i just go with it?

It looks like it'll fit fine. All you need to do is remember what the old PSU is plugs into and use the same plugs on the new PSU and plug them into all of the things that had something plugged in previously.

just got the power supply in, works just fine, right now im removing all of ATI's drivers and catalyst crap
before i switch vid cards i just wanted to ask... is the 8600gt not supposed to have the 6 pin connection from the psu
i was under the impression that it would but it doesnt... i guess it just draws power from the slot/mobo and its recommended to have higher wattage?
