I got a speeding ticket

#1 Post by palmboy5 » Wed Nov 12, 2008 4:14 am

82 in a 65mph, my first ticket... I don't know about whats considered an acceptable speeding speed in your areas, but 82mph here? Acceptable. I've passed cops at faster than that. There lies the problem, WHERES MY PRIDE? I don't want to get caught doing a measly 82, what about the times I went in the 90s? 100s? AHHHH!

I practice 50MPH posted and under I won't go more then 5MPH over. If 55MPH or more I won't go more then 10MPH over. Top posted speed limit, on the interstates normally, 65MPH.
This is only my opinion, I could be wrong.

Here I just do no more than 10 over local speed limits and no more than 15 over highway. Or, whatever speed I feel safe doing.
Like.. passing shoulder parked cars with potential door openers? Slower.
Got passed by another car? I'm following, don't care what speed.

The highway I was driving down has 65 and 70mph sections, I guess I'll have to actually pay attention now... Aside from that, anyone know of a good radar/lidar detector? :P
