Governemnt Delete Program

#1 Post by 2005 » Mon Nov 15, 2004 8:16 pm

Can someone find me one of those programs that lets you like write over the physical surface of your disk numerous times to totally ensure no data can be recovered. Id like to totally wipe this drive and destroy all evidence  .

I have one problem though, This computer came with a partiton on it and i do not wish to screw up that partiton as it acts as a restore disk.

It holds all the info necessary to reformat the computer to factory and it also include the OS as well as a few programs, so my question is could i leave that part alone and just do the total wipe thingy on my user partiton and how would i re install the os once its deleted off the user partion because i wont have the os on the user partition any more ill just have the system partiton without any means i can think of to get it to be usable to reinstall the OS.

bottom has this KillDisk thing.. seems very slow but very thorough ^^
For computers, buying cheaply and often will only leave you constantly in a world of shit.
