Haha yea, I'm gonna be doing a lot of audio stuff on my PC soon, I'm gonna get a shitload more ram as well. Probably another gig.

that soundcard is so beast, ive had it for like a year now and i love it

make sure u dont get an 1820 instead of an 1820M... the M is important, has higher qual convertors inside

To start I'm probably going to record guitar directly from my Mesa Boogie TriAxis (I LOVE micing stuff, but since it's my live rig, mics and my cab will be moving a lot). After my band and I get some nice drum mics we'll throw those into our mixer, go into the 1820M, then use the mixer as an output to the monitors as well.

It's a slow start to a home studio, pretty much. I already have the room set up for it and all with my gear and comp down there, just need to get some studio gear going.

Are you talking about where it says "Word clock?" It's a newer way of plugging in digital mixers. I've never seen it used...but then again I haven't seen many digital mixers around either. Most are those huge 24 channel monsters.
