sharing a printer

sharing a printer

can some one help me explain how i would share a printer

id have me and my roomates pc's runnin win xp pro connected to the universities network and internet... how would we share a printer (usb connectivity) between jus the 2 comps in our room

can u access his comp through the network?

havent moved in yet so i dunno... im jus tryin to figure out if i need to buy anythin b4 i move in

Yeah. I share a printer :D But I have to manually configure all this bullshit because my router doesn't have a printer port.

Manny: Tip: If you want to share printers and do not have a router yet, GET ONE WITH A PRINTER PORT NO MATTER HOW EXPENSIVE IT IS! It's much better that way. You won't have to do all this crap.. lol

i could do that, but my comp would b locked in screen saver mode and can u jus plug two comps into the back of a printer or sumin
